Graham Edmonds

Born in the Black Country. Grew up in Old Hill.

Educated at Holly Lodge Grammar School in Smethwick.

1975 Entered the Kitchen & Bathroom Industry on January 20th 1975. ‘GR Francis’ - All aspects of basic training from warehouse, trade counter sales, buying office, financial dept, internal sales, creating what was at the time the largest Kitchen and Bathroom Retail Showroom in the Midlands, External Sales.

1978 Asked to join ‘Peter J. Hopkinson’ (Plumbing Factors, the largest kitchen & bathroom distribution company in Europe) Creating a distribution company that was then a new innovation in the Kitchen & Bathroom industry - Buying in bulk from manufacturers and offering a 48 hour delivery service to the retail and merchant trade, instead of a six week lead time that was the industry norm.

1980 Joined a group of industry professionals who with the support of a large Midland based engineering company created a new distribution company, the ‘Headway Group’, which soon became one of the top three kitchen and bathroom distributors, offering a national service via five centre's in Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and Crawley. Headway also re-launched ‘Glendale Kitchens’ into the industry.

Launched ‘Philips / Whirlpool’ into the UK appliance marketplace.

Became the youngest GM the industry.

1985  Was invited to join ‘Homecharm Furniture’ later to become ‘The Bernstein Group’ based in Manchester. With an annual turnover of £7.6 million

1989 Appointed as Sales Director of ‘Homecharm’ and enjoyed massive growth peaking at £123 million in 1993. During this period in addition to massive growth from the furniture sector of the company we also created a new appliance brand and launched into the industry the 'HOMARK' range of domestic appliance that was successfully sold into the high street via a network of distributors as well as a range of domestic kitchen appliances through ‘B & Q’ and the then ‘Texas Home Centre's’. A business worth in excess of £20M.

1993 Opened up a new distribution company ‘Excel Distribution’ offering a unique service to the kitchen retailer nationwide.

1999 Launched ‘Tettenhall Kitchens’ a small but top quality fitted kitchen company.

2011 Graham launches ‘Hagley Kitchens’, Tettenhall Kitchen’s sister company, serving the South of the Black Country.
